We’re Back in the Lambing Shed!

I think I may have mentioned previously that the Head Shepherd is Always Right and so it proved again, she said it would be all over at the weekend and with the final lamb (a ewe at last) delivered by a first time mother around 9.30 on Sunday evening lambing 2026 draws to a close.

And what a lambing season it has been, not just for the remarkable preponderance of ram lambs but particularly for the fact that every single lamb has survived. The average losses in the industry are 15% so to lose none at all is very unusual and a great tribute to the amazing shepherding skills of she who is Always Right.

As always it has been a great pleasure to share lambing time with you all, I hope we have answered all your messages and questions, if we have missed one do send it again and we will respond.

The last three lambs will go outside in the next few days and then the cameras will go off and we will say goodbye (until next year)
